How We Use AI

HeyCity runs an automated pipeline powered by large language models. HeyCity utilizes Google Gemini as our AI provider and their Terms of Service apply to your usage of HeyCity. HeyCity’s AI ingests public notices, civic documents, meeting recordings and official meeting minutes, and then synthesizes them into plain-language summaries that publish to the feed automatically. Because publication is automated and AI-generated, error correction is engineered into the pipeline rather than bolted on: automated fact-checking and guardrail layers continuously scan summaries, applying best practices that are refined over time to reduce errors. This content is AI-generated and independently produced, not written or reviewed by city staff, and not an official government communication. HeyCity is not responsible for AI-generated content or reports, nor is any data, report, or other information displayed in HeyCity represented to be accurate.

Corrections & Feedback

Every summary of data in the HeyCity app includes a Report Error option with a link to our reporting form. We review the reports we receive and, when an error is verified, the platform regenerates and re-publishes the affected summary as quickly as we reasonably can. Every published summary and correction is versioned, so there’s an auditable record of what changed and when. Confirmed errors also feed back into improving our models and ingestion over time.

A Starting Point, Not the Record

HeyCity is an AI-assisted tool to help residents follow local government. Our summaries are a starting point for awareness — not a definitive, legal, or official record. For any decision that matters, verify against the primary source; for example, the county, city or other municipality’s official agendas, minutes, recorded meetings (when available) and notices, which we link wherever possible.

Informational Disclaimer

HeyCity summaries and related content are AI-generated and intended as a starting point for awareness and convenience only. They are not definitive, legal, or official records, and they should not be treated as a substitute for reviewing the applicable primary source materials.

For any decision that matters, users should verify the information against the applicable city’s or agency’s official agendas, minutes, notices, ordinances, resolutions, staff reports, recordings, and other primary source materials. The official version of any government record remains with the applicable government agency or official source.

Although HeyCity uses processes designed to improve the usefulness and accuracy of its summaries, AI-generated and automated content may contain errors, omissions, outdated information, misinterpretations, or incomplete context. HeyCity may update, correct, replace, or remove summaries or related content at any time.

Your use of HeyCity is also governed by the disclaimers, warranty limitations, and limitation-of-liability provisions in HeyCity’s Terms of Use. Nothing in this disclaimer or the Terms of Use is intended to exclude or limit liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
